The Tulsa Wedding Show (TTWS) began in January, 1994. There was an unfilled space in the Tulsa market for an event like a dedicated bridal show. In 1994, The Tulsa Wedding Show had 33 exhibitors and 750 people attended the event. All bridal information was manually input from hand written forms, and took over 40 hours to compile and send to the exhibitors.
Present
We now host 2 events per year. We had 250 exhibitors in 2008 with 3,500+ attending the shows. The Tulsa Wedding Show features internet registration, and bridal information is available to our exhibitors the day after the event. The Tulsa Wedding Merchants Group, a bi-monthly networking event, helps anyone in the wedding business find other businesses to connect with. Participation in TTWS is not a requirement to attend. Ongoing exhibitor learning seminars are a big help for our exhibitors prior to both summer and winter wedding shows. They are in conjunction with Skyline Exhibits of Broken Arrow. Jim Otterstrom teaches exhibition lessons gathered from over 30 years in the international trade show business.
Future
TTWS will be using technology to extend the reach of our exhibitors beginning with the Summer 2009 event. Included will be wedding directory advertising opportunities, social networking, text messaging, and specialty events in support of the main event...The Tulsa Wedding Show.
