Bridal Show Tips & Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Why Should You Attend The Tulsa Wedding Show?

Brides, grooms and their families can save time, gas, energy, confusion, and money by attending The Tulsa Wedding Show. Making your wedding decisions at our wedding showcase eliminates the dreaded phone tag, excess effort in trying to get an appointment with a wedding vendor, and complicated phone answering machines. "Push 1, Push 2, Push 3" options can drive a busy bride bananas when she is anxious to complete her wedding plans. Even e-mail messages are time consuming and delay the immediate response a bride wants and needs. Brides have found that attending this Bridal Show in Tulsa skips all those wasted steps because they will be meeting the key personnel of each participating company face-to-face on the show floor.

  2. Are there merchants in each category?

Yes. The August and January bridal show events will showcase over 120 wedding professionals in different displays. There will be a variety of selections in the most requested categories, such as reception facilities, photographers, caterers, and videographers. Best of all, we have a variety of price ranges so that there are choices for everyone. No matter the type or style of wedding each couple desires, from very formal to very informal, from large to small budgets, everyone will be impressed with the many options at every Tulsa Wedding Show.

  3. Come prepared to make wedding decisions!

Whether the wedding date is just two weeks away or two years away, everything at the show will be "bookable" and "buyable". Couples with very popular wedding dates, such as those in June or December, will need to quickly make their wedding decisions in order to secure their chosen wedding reception site, caterer, or photographer. Many couples do make initial deposits or sign confirmed contracts to secure their top choices at this event. Several companies take credit cards for deposits while others will accept personal checks. Our best advice? If you are not prepared to make a deposit, at least plan to make a definite appointment at the show to meet with your favorite vendors in a few days. The top vendors often find a year's worth of business booked at the show or within a few weeks of the show. Act quickly; don't procrastinate or you may end up with your 2nd or 3rd choice.

  4. How do I pre-register?

Pre-registration is now combined with our new advance-day ticket sales.  In order to pre-register as a bride or groom, add one or more tickets to your shopping cart and set the type to "Bride" or "Groom."  You will be taken to a pre-registration form.  Then all you have to do is complete the transaction.  Don't forget that each pre-registered bride and groom gets an extra chance to win one of the show's prize packages!*

  5. Do I have to pay for parking?

No. Parking at the Renaissance Hotel is free. Just make sure that you park legally. In the past the police have ticketed those that park on the grass across the street from the venue.  Additionally, the January 2012 show will feature a FREE trolley service from the East side of the Target parking lot.

  6. Do you have a fashion show?

Yes. We have several fashion shows during the day of the Tulsa Wedding Show. Each is a showcase for the finest dresses, veils, bouquets, and tuxedoes in the city. If you like what you see, make your wedding decisions right on the show floor. Each fashion show is followed by a prize drawing as well.

  7. How can I save money?

Each participating exhibitor will be offering their best prices during the show. Bridal couples are encouraged to comparison shop and come prepared with "budget zones" for each category of products or services they would like to incorporate into their wedding plans. The majority of the companies will offer special "show prices" or discounts for immediate bookings. Some also offer the perk of a special gift with a purchase.

  8. How much does entry cost?

Ticket price is $10 per person when you pay online.  Tickets are $12 at the door.

  9. What should I ask the merchants?

The Tulsa Wedding Show features companies in over 30 different categories of wedding and new home needs. Come with a specific date and time in mind for the wedding services required. First find out if they have your date open. Then ask questions about specific services. For example, ask the photographers and videographers to see examples and make sure their style is compatible with yours. Ask bakeries about delivery fees, cake filling flavors, etc. Each wedding professional is eager to meet you and answer your questions, so don’t hesitate to ask!

  10. What should I bring?

Your wedding planner notebook will be helpful. You may want to bring your dress swatches. Bring a checklist of the most important elements needed to complete your wedding plans. Be sure to keep the show program and tuck it into your planner for a reference.

  11. What should I wear?

Definitely wear comfortable clothes and easy walking shoes. This show has many aisles of exhibits to review, as well as special music, fashion shows, and displays.

  12. Who should attend?

Everyone who is involved with your wedding would enjoy coming to The Tulsa Wedding Show and can give you great input. The bridal show is open to the general public. Brides, grooms (yes, lots of grooms do attend!), their parents, siblings, and other family members are welcome, along with close friends and bridal party members. Also welcome are corporate event planners who will find all the elements they need to orchestrate their Tulsa celebrations - weddings, company functions, or gala events.

  13. Final Bridal Show Tip!

Come with an open mind. This is your wedding and there will be plenty of new ideas that every couple can add to their plans to truly make it a unique event.
