Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is the Visit the Venues Day (Day 2)?

The Visit the Venues Day (Day 2) is a new follow-up wedding planning event that uses your favorite wedding planning tools: the internet, your car, your friends and family, and your cell phone. The show allows Tulsa brides to make easy wedding planning even quicker!

First, attend The Tulsa Wedding Show (Day 1) at the Renaissance Tulsa Hotel & Convention Center on January 7, 2012 and see, taste, touch, smell and experience the largest collection of Tulsa wedding merchants in one place.  Follow up your wedding planning at The Tulsa Wedding Show (Day 1) with the Visit the Venues Day (Day 2)...the NEXT day (January 8, 2012).

The Visit the Venues Day (Day 2) event is similar to a tour of homes. In other words, there are numerous wedding venue locations spread across Tulsa that are participating in a simultaneous wedding "open house" event. The goal of Visit the Venues Day (Day 2) is to allow a bride to personally tour participating wedding venues in one day without an appointment, talk to the staff, and decide if that venue is a match for her wedding needs.

  2. What are the features of the Visit the Venues Day?
    1. Multiple locations with a broad spectrum of abilities to cover any wedding need
    2. "In person" experience at wedding venues, allowing more one-on-one conversations, at a slower pace, than the wedding show
    3. Facility tours throughout the day
  3. Is transportation provided between locations?

Since each bride has different needs, and will want to talk to different wedding merchants for different lengths to time, and has different schedules and tastes, each person should drive to locations with family and friends.

  4. Do I need to Pre-Register?

No. Just pick your starting location and show up.

  5. What locations and venues do you have scheduled for the 2012 Visit the Venues day?

See the map page for details.

  6. What is the price?

There is no admission fee to the Visit the Venues Day (Day 2).

  7. How many venues may I visit?

Although there is no set number of locations to visit, we recommend that a bride choose 5 locations. Rushing to see all locations misses the point of a relaxing day with family and friends. (But see them all if you want to!)

  8. What is the schedule for Visit the Venues 2012?

    Date: January 8, 2012
    Time: 1pm to 5pm
